Therapeutic Modalities

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Our thoughts are powerful and sometimes they work against us.

CBT helps you identify the patterns fueling anxiety and depression and replace them with healthier, more balanced perspectives.

CBT works through three core steps:

Identify — Recognize the unhelpful thoughts and beliefs keeping you stuck.

Challenge — Examine those thoughts and question whether they are truly accurate.

Reframe — Replace them with balanced, realistic perspectives that support your well-being.

Solution Focused Brief  Therapy

(SFBT)

You already have more strength than you realize. SFBT shifts the focus from what's wrong to what's possible helping you build on your own strengths to create the life you want.

SFBT centers around three simple ideas:

If it's not broken, don't fix it — We build on what is already working in your life.

If it works, do more of it — We identify and amplify your existing strengths and successes.

If it's not working, try something different — We explore new approaches that move you closer to your goals.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

(DBT)

When emotions feel intense and hard to manage, DBT offers a roadmap. It helps you navigate overwhelming feelings and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

DBT is built on four core skills:

Mindfulness — Staying present and grounded in the moment.

Distress Tolerance — Getting through difficult moments without making things worse.

Emotional Regulation — Understanding and managing intense emotions more effectively.

Interpersonal Effectiveness — Communicating your needs while maintaining healthy relationships.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy

(IPT)

Life's biggest transitions can leave us feeling disconnected and overwhelmed. IPT helps you navigate those moments by focusing on the relationships around you and how they impact your emotional well-being.

I

PT focuses on four key areas:

Grief & Loss — Processing the emotional weight of significant loss or change.

Role Transitions — Adjusting to new life phases like parenthood, career changes, or relationship shifts.

Interpersonal Conflicts — Resolving recurring tension or disconnection in important relationships.

Building Connections — Strengthening communication skills and growing a meaningful support system.

Problem Solving Therapy

Life throws a lot at us. Problem-Solving Therapy gives you a clear, structured approach to tackling stressors that feel stuck so you can move forward with confidence.

The process follows four straightforward steps:

Define — Clearly identify the problem and what it's costing you.

Brainstorm — Explore all possible solutions without judgment.

Decide — Choose the best path forward based on your values and goals.

Act — Put the plan into motion and evaluate how it's working.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

(EMDR)

Sometimes the past has a way of following us into the present. EMDR is a gentle, structured approach that helps you safely process painful or traumatic memories so they no longer hold power over your daily life. It's not about reliving what happened — it's about finally being free from it.

EMDR unfolds across eight phases:

History & Treatment Planning — We get to know you and your story.

Preparation — We build trust and equip you with grounding tools before we begin.

Assessment — We identify the memories and beliefs we'll work through together.

Desensitization — Using bilateral stimulation, we gently reduce the emotional weight of painful memories.

Installation — We replace negative beliefs with healthier, more empowering ones.

Body Scan — We release any lingering tension the memory may be holding in your body.

Closure — Every session ends with you feeling safe and grounded.

Reevaluation — We check in on your progress and ensure healing is lasting.

Structural Family Therapy

Every family has its own unique dynamic. Structural Family Therapy takes a closer look at the patterns, roles, and boundaries within your family system to understand what is working and what needs to shift.

The approach focuses on three core areas:

Family Structure — Examining how your family is organized and how members relate to one another.

Boundaries — Identifying where boundaries may be too rigid or too flexible and finding a healthier balance.

Realignment — Reshaping unhealthy patterns so your family can communicate, connect, and function more effectively as a unit.
